Worth knowing
Not every setting needs a classic grant application. Educational software can sometimes be bought from existing budgets or through the responsible provider. The Haushelden financing assistant helps you spot the route that fits.
What does Haushelden cost for our setting?
One price per child – there is nothing else to work out. This offer is aimed at settings and their providers, not at consumers.
Setting edition
€4.49 per child and year
Minimum €199 per year · plus VAT at the statutory rate
- The complete setting edition
- 12-month term, then renewed automatically for 12 months
- Cancel any time up to the end of the term – no notice period
- Special right of cancellation if your provider allocates no funds for the coming budget year
Image AI is not part of the setting edition. That comes with the Medienwerkstatt – see below.
What does that mean in practice?

All amounts net, plus VAT at the statutory rate. From 45 children upwards the per-child price applies, below that the €199 minimum. That works out at roughly 37 cents per child per month – or about 2.4 cents per child per day of care.

For schools in Bavaria
Bavaria provides school authorities with a media and AI budget: €4.67 per pupil at primary schools and €10.38 at secondary, special needs and vocational schools and grammar schools.
Our price is below the per-pupil rate that Bavaria provides in the media and AI budget.
For context: the budget belongs to the school authority, applies to all of its schools and to all digital educational media together, and there is no legal entitlement to it. Whether an application counts as a digital educational medium, and what the funds are spent on, is decided by the school authority. Nurseries and after-school care settings are not covered by this budget.
